Living Room Renovation
This was a fun renovation we worked on almost 2 years ago now. I can’t believe I am just now blogging about this. It was featured in Society South Magazine. As you can probably tell, we removed a wall between two spaces. The wall we removed was interesting because it used to have window openings, which made the house look like it had an addition added to the house. The room with the lower ceiling seemed closed off from the family room and it just wasn’t big enough to for family gatherings. The client loves rustic beams, so we used the beams to tie together the two spaces. Also, to marry the two spaces together, we added hardwood floors to match. Two zones were created, 1 for watching TV and the other for enjoying the fireplace. Two swivel chairs in the center allow for the guests to swivel towards the area of their choice. Custom cabinetry, rock fireplaces and custom drapery create multiple design layers to keep the eye moving. Enjoy the pictures!
