Lake Martin Interior Design
L&M is an Auburn, AL-based interior design company, and while we take on plenty of projects locally, we also love having the opportunity to venture out and work in some truly special places.
You might have seen this project in a previous post, but we wanted to revisit it! This Lake Martin home is one of our favorite projects to date, mainly because of the beautiful view. From the moment you walk in, your eyes are drawn to the water, creating a peaceful backdrop for the entire home.
For this project, we completely gutted the house down to the bones, giving us a blank canvas to work with. Having that freedom allowed us to thoughtfully reimagine every space and create a design that feels both elevated and inviting. Custom Cabinetry throughout this home, and we even added a TruStile door for the pantry door. We always try to use the best of the best products. Products that will last you in your most used spaces!
One of our favorite features is the kitchen countertops. We chose Taj Mahal quartzite and wanted to highlight its natural beauty, so we incorporated under-counter lighting to really make it shine. The subtle glow adds warmth, depth, and a unique feel to the kitchen, especially in the evenings. Combined with the incredible lake views, it creates a space that is both stunning and welcoming.
Projects like this remind us why we love what we do, and we’re so grateful to have been part of bringing this home to life.
